RACISM Question: Why is it "fighting words" when a black (African American) is called a Ni#$%?
Why is it acceptable in society for a black person (African American) to be called a N#$! by another black person (African American), but not ok if called the same by a white person (Caucasian). Why is acceptable then that a black person (African American) can call a white person (Caucasian) a name like honkey, white boy, or cracker. Why is this not considered "Racist"
It is considered racist.
I once heard Richard Pryor encouraging black people to use the N-word to take the power away from it when it was used in a negative way.
There are so many issues concerning race that I really don't want to get into here, but the N-word has deeper connotations than the color of ones skin.
