How much soil should a pot hold for a clump of *Aloe nobilis*, for it to be able to achieve its maximum size ?
and, flower? I think I have Aloe nobilis hybrid (White Tooth). I've read that it does very well growing in pots, and wonder if maybe it will *limit its own size* somewhat in regard to the size container that it finds itself growing in?
Try a 3 gallon pot with an extremely well draining soil. You can use a good quality potting mix and add about 25% (by volume) of 3/8" red lava rock.
Yes, the growth is self limiting, inasmuch as it will only grow as large as the pot allows. At least that works for a few years.
