Cosmos Bright

Gently, comes the night
with darkened hands
to cup the world
and rock it slowly to sleep
while brother sun stands
above as day, pouring light
from a wide tub onto the top.
Ever vigilant, time
endless, procession
rounds the earth like
a bright winged bird.
The star songs sing
and the universe
echoes,
the pulse of the planet
beats through
that boundless cosmos.

Now it will be reworked I feel sure but I wanted to get first impressions of the first work.
Think of the sky as a wide tub from which light pours down on top of the world. I can see the vastness of the sky as this.
