Ruffled Blooms

Upon a cool open air of dawn
a panorama stage was set
the spotlight flame of sun arose
above the backdrop brilliant blue

her Diva ruffled feathers fluffed
a glowing yellow trimmed by black
on prop of branch she placed her feet
where red buds bloomed amid dewy leaves

it was there, she warbled acapulco
a melody; an aria crystal clear, so sweet
she took no bows, asked no applause
no credits rolled, admission free

and the Maestro remained unseen.
