What about garage / yard sale pricing?
I'm going to have a garage sale soon. I'll be selling the usual knick-knacks, but also some furniture. How much should I ask for the following:
Living room set in good shape, less than 8 yrs old (includes sofa, love seat, coffee table, and two end tables)
Queen size mattress, box springs, and metal frame (in okay shape, not great, about 7 yrs old)

It depends on how fast you want to get rid of these items.
If you start on a Friday or Saturday, you can start asking "top dollar" If you still have these items and it's getting late in the day (Saturday or Sunday) Reduce the price. One thing shoppers don't want to hear is " I paid so and so"
P.S. You can sign up for freecycle.org under your neighborhood and then find out where the cafe is..these two places will be in your yahoo groups after that. Sometimes it's easier to sell things through the cafe. That's what we did when we moved.
